Academic Project
This study examines the physiognomy of Buddhist deities depicted in the Mogao Caves at Dunhuang, highlighting the interactions between diverse cultures and the evolution of Buddhist art along the Silk Road. By analyzing the stylistic elements of sculptures from various historical periods, it reveals how Buddhist iconography in Dunhuang reflects influences from India, Central Asia, and China, demonstrating a blend of aesthetic and cultural traditions. The research underscores Dunhuang’s role as a cultural nexus, where art serves not only as a form of religious expression but also as a medium for cross-cultural exchange, ultimately offering insights into our contemporary multicultural society.

Art Portfolio Project
My portfolio delves into the layered complexities of human nature, cultural memory, and environmental consciousness. Drawing inspiration from personal experiences and classic literature, I explore profound themes through various mediums, including digital drawings, sculptures, and photography. Each piece captures my reflections, whether through the coexistence of virtues and flaws in my thological characters, the deconstruction of utopian ideals from novels, or the preservation of vanishing traditions in China. As an environmental advocate, I incorporate sustainable materials into my creations, demonstrating my commitment to ecological balance and aesthetic depth. This portfolio represents not only my journey of artistic growth but also my deep cultural inquiry and dedication to preserving humanity’s shared heritage.
